girls trip to the beach

We started a new tradition with my best girl friends this year - girl's weekend! This year we spent it at the beautiful Imperial Beach (compliments of my bro and sis-in-law and their beautiful condo - thanks guys!). Bekah and Russ, Lacee and her mom Laurie, and me, my mom and Emery were all in attendance, though we missed our Maggi... the glue that holds the rest of us together. We love our "Mama Maggi"! The trip featured yummy food, a beautiful view, talking, movies, no makeup or flat irons, boogie boarding and the best part - just being together! That's one thing that makes growing up stink - we don't all live around the corner anymore. I'm really so blessed to have such amazing girl friends. All 4 of us - Maggi, Bekah, Lacee and I - feel so lucky to have childhood friends that we're still so close with. I don't know what I'd do without my girls!

Russ-Russ and Em - love at first drool

Sand-eater (mom's fault)

Me and Lace-face

Em loves the brown zebra swim suit. Thanks grandpa!

The three boogie boarding babes catching a sweet wave (thanks moms for watching the babies so we could!)

Bek and I boogie boarding at dusk - SOOO fun!

It appears that you had an amazing time. I like Emery's cute bathing suit. Jacob has a couple we are hoping to try out this summer, only they have fish on them or something. I can't even remember, I stored them months ago. :) Almost time to pull them out!!

Also, your friend Lacee reminds me a LOT of this gorgeous girl that went to my high school who I always secretly wanted to be friends with. One day she came up to me and asked me if I could help her prepare for an audition for "Singin' in the Rain." I was so flattered. Anyways, that was the only time I talked to her, but we practiced our singing and dancing and acting together for a few brief hours. I made the play, too bad she didn't. Maybe we would have been good friends.

Sorry for the long story - Lacee really did remind me of this Mandy girl.

Glad you had fun! I miss you!

i just wanted to say, since no one else seems to be saying it, that my daughter is really cute with sand all over her face.

Jeanie and I both love the swimsuit. I think that we have a cute one for Jewell. We'll have to post some pics of her modeling that soon.

We sure love living in Seattle but it is sad that we can't visit you guys at the condo in Imperial Beach anymore.

What a fun weekend! I LOVE Emery's swimsuit.
And Lacee looks SO tall next to you in that picture. I remember in 8th grade when people would ask her what she wanted for Christmas and she would say "to grow". Sorry had to share that memory...
